What oil and/or fluid is right for my car?
March 1st, 2010It is very important today to look what kind of oil or fluid has to be used on your car. Many manufacturers have designed their own blends and the one fits all just does not apply anymore. In the matter of the fact the wrong motor oil or fluid in your car can cause problems and even damage to components. I only use Mobil1. The extra cost is worth it.

Unfortunately this trend will continue. The main reason is the materials that are used in modern cars, they require special oils to have everything working as designed. Many designs have been out for a long time and could not be implemented because of the materials not holding up. The rotary engine would be a perfect example. Auto Union sold of the patent to Mazda because of sealing material problem. Over time Mazda could develop a material that was strong enough to make the engine reliable.
